The UVA in Shanghai Intensive Summer Chinese Language Program, hosted by East China Normal University, has been selected by Yale University’s prestigious Light Fellowship as a destination site for language study utilizing Light Fellowship funding. For the past fifteen years, the Light Fellowship has funded hundreds of promising Yale students for language study in China, Japan and Korea. As the only language program in Shanghai to be approved for study under the Light Fellowship, UVA is honored to receive this special recognition, which reflects credit on the hard work of UVA in Shanghai founding Program Director Dr. Hsin-Hsin Liang. Professor Liang and all the instructors at the UVA in Shanghai program look forward to stimulating interactions with Yale fellowship students beginning Summer 2013.
