Kelly Abbinanti (何梦洁) (East Asian Studies and currently is taking 5th Year Chinese) Intern for the State Department, Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs for both the 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 academic year. Works directly with the US Embassy Beijing, delivering Mandarin-English translations of government, business, and independent news outlets in support of the research policy analysis team. Essay published in UVA's Wilson Journal, the Undergraduate International Relations research journal, titled China’s Proliferation of Cyber Warfare Capabilities: Should the U.S. be Worried? (2015)

Shelbey Keegan(纪元华)(East Asian Studies and Foreign Affairs double majors and is taking 5th Year Chinese): Received the Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship (ETA) Award 2016-17. She will be teaching English in Taiwan.
Judy Jiang(江嘉倩)(East Asian studies and Commerce majors and is taking 4th Year Chinese): Passed NSA Chinese Reading and Listening Proficiency Exam and received the highest score of 3.
Michael Ly(李迈科)(East Asian Studies and Foreign Affairs and is taking 4th Year Chinese): Received the Silver prize in the Jiangsu cup Chinese speech contest at D.C.. He also received 2016 Critical Language Scholarship for Chinese Language Study in Xi'an. The program is administered by the Department of State ECA Bureau and American Councils for Int'l Education.
Olivia Negus(欧丽雅)(Chinese Language and Literature and Economics double majors, and is taking 4th Year Chinese): She is awarded the Mastercard Asian Studies Scholarship and is one of the two Undergraduate student representatives in the IWL committee (2016-17).
