BRYANNA GOODING AND KAYLA SCHROFF WERE INVITED TO PRESENT THEIR FINDINGS ON SAMURAI LITERATURE
On Friday, February 24th, the East Asian Studies Undergraduate Conference hosted by James Madison University gave undergraduate students studying East Asian cultures the opportunity to present papers on a variety of topics relating to East Asian society and culture. Focusing on China, Japan and Korea, the topics ranged from international relations, to religion, and interpretations of culture through media and pop culture. JMU also extended invitations to two of UVA’s own students, Bryanna Gooding and Kayla Schroff, who presented their findings on samurai literature for the Japanese Literature and Film panel.
