The National Japanese Exam created by AATJ (Japanese language teacher's association) provides students with a diagnostic assessment of their Japanese skills. 56 UVA JAPN 1020 students took the test this past semester. 6 students received 90% or above and are ranked at 1st place out of the total of 106 participants. All of the other students who participated received the bronze category, honorable mentions, or certificates of participation. We congratulate our students who participated in this testing experience.
