Since 2008, Miao-fen Tseng has served as the director of the Virginia STARTALK Chinese Teacher/Student Academy and has received approximately one million dollars in federal grants. This year UVA STARTALK has created a national leading online teaching model for world languages --the very first among 121 federally funded STARTALK programs (14 national critical languages).
